I heard your beautiful voice carried through the light wind.
As the air slowly moved and gently touched my skin,
I felt the haunting melodies sink and rest within.
Our souls entwined and I felt like you were my twin.

Your intoxicating and warm scent wafted on the air,
before it drifted down and wrapped around me with care.
It felt as though you, darling, were here in my chair,
sitting beside me and lightly caressing my hair.

But then I opened my eyes and the entire world stopped.
It was like the sky fell on top of me and my bubble popped.
You were not here; I realized and let my shoulders dropped.
Only your soft voice ringing in my ears; I hope it wouldn’t stop.

I actually didn’t mean to write a sad poem today. I just let the words took me and it ended up sad. Maybe I’ll give it another try and create a happy version of this.

Thank you for reading. I hope you come back to read more of my poetry. 🙂
