You don’t have to explain yourself
if you just can’t help but feeling pain.
Why would you need to make an excuse
for being hurt over and over again?
I’d rather shout and cry my heart out,
letting people know ’bout what they’ve done.
You’re not the one who should be blamed.
It’s the person hurting you without shame!
Sometimes, I felt bad about letting my feelings be known because I was afraid that it might affect someone, especially the ones who’d hurt me in the first place. But then I realized that it’s not my fault that I’m hurt. And I won’t be able to move on, well not properly, if I don’t write about it.
If you’re hurt, say it. If you’re sad, say it. Let it out. You don’t have to care about what people think. I find that this way it’s a lot better for your mental health.
