I just turned thirty-five today but I felt so young. I’ve never felt so naïve. There’ll always be things I don’t understand until I experience them firsthand. I might get into trouble and feel so dumb again. We’re never old enough for life, right?
Anyway, today was a good day. I dressed up and had afternoon tea with my husband in town. We hadn’t done this in a very long time, and I missed it. I appreciated the fact that he’d made the reservation for my birthday almost over a month ago! Unfortunately, the hotel—even though it was a five-star hotel—wasn’t decorated with Christmas trees yet! Talking about disappointment!
But my husband was as sweet as ever. And I’m always grateful to him most.
